Pictures

You can add a picture to a PowerPoint slide using a placeholder. To add a picture to a slide using a placeholder, select a layout with a placeholder that includes a Pictures section. Click the Pictures button to open the Insert Picture dialog box, navigate to the location of your picture files, and click the picture you want to use. Click the Insert button [1].

Embedding a movie or YouTube video

You can insert video into a presentation through the Insert ribbon [1]. You can also embed video from a website. When you embed video from the site, you have to copy-and-paste the embed code from the online site into the From a Video Embed Code box. You can do this by pasting the embed HTML code into the From a Video Embed Code box, and click Insert.
