Assignment Notes

Step 3

1. Copy and Paste the formula from the PDF directly into Excel.

2. You will find the Scenario Manager and the Goal Seek on the Data Ribbon under What-If Analysis.

3. You use the Scenario Manager, you'll get a pop up box. The pop up won't have scenarios in it. You'll have to hit the "Add" button to put them in.

Step 5c, Part 2 and 3

Using the Goal Seek requires a formula in your destination cell to work as it uses the numbers that are part of the formula to manipulate and get you the new results. So it's like asking Excel "I want this equation to equal X, what does Y need to be?" The value in the "By Changing Cell" field of the dialog box should be a percentage. You are looking for a percentage to get the value 169,206,836 in cell G16.
