Importing an Excel worksheet

If you have data in an Excel worksheet and wish to work on that data in Access, you can do so by importing the Excel worksheet into Access using the External Data ribbon [1].

Importing data from text files

There are two main types of text files that can be imported using the External Data ribbon [1]:

  • CSV files, which use a comma to separate the values in each column.
  • Fixed length TXT files, where each column is of a specific fixed length.
